Preface
This page contains links to battle maps of military operations in the Pacific region of Japanese Imperial Forces and Allied Forces during World War II. The information has been extracted from reference 1.

The map collection illustrates how the Allied forces launched an offensive and gained dominance in the Pacific region. Over time, the map collection can be supplemented with commentary and additional maps to provide greater insight into the course of the battles, the strategy, and the underlying rationale.

  1. The various mandates in the Pacific
    Its mandated region in the middle of the Pacific enabled Japan to construct military bases on the Mariana, Caroline and Marshall islands covertly. It proved to be a harbinger for Japan's military campaigns to seizure the Pacific.
